News about Pepe Garza
The owner of the radio and television station Estrella Media chose Pepe Garza, former Mexico regional programmer “Que Buena” KBUA/KEBN Los Angeles (105.5, 94.3), to run its music section. Garza was promoted to executive producer of digital audio for the organization. He will continue to work as a judge on the EstrellaTV show “Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento” and as executive producer of the company’s leading regional Mexican music show “Premios de la Radio”.
Garza will discover and sign new talent and curate new digital audio original series for Estrella’s free streaming platform and podcasts in his role as head of content development and A&R for the label and publishing division of Estrella Media Music Entertainment (EMME).
16 television stations and 15 radio stations in Texas and California are owned by Estrella Media, formerly LBI Media. The Los Angeles Times and Billboard magazines call him “one of the most influential figures in the Latin music industry” and “the rainmaker of regional Mexican music.” He founded the music publishing company Arpa Music and is a distinguished singer-songwriter and composer who has received awards from ASCAP and BMI.
