Career
Peter Worrell started playing professional ice hockey in 1997 and retired in 2006. Before becoming a professional hockey player, he played for Hull Olympiques and was a member of two championship teams. QMJHL and 1997 Memorial Cup champion. After being drafted by the Florida Panthers selected in the seventh round of the 1995 NHL draft, he turned pro. He appeared in a total of 19 games for the Panthers, winning 153 PIMs and not scoring a single point. Worrell scored his first goal on February 8, 1999 against St. Louis Blues.
He was transferred to the Colorado Avalanche on July 18, 2003. He missed the first 27 games of his career because of a knee injury. On December 11, 2003, he debuted for the Colorado Avalanche team. He played around 49 games for Avalanche, scoring three goals and contributing one assist, the lowest total score in NHL history.
During the 2004–05 NHL season, Worrell considered retiring, but ultimately decided to sign with the Los Angeles Rangers. He was appointed head coach of the Florida Atlantic University ice hockey team on May 18, 2010. He also coaches the varsity ice hockey team at North Broward Preparatory School in Coconut Creek. , Florida.
