Photography. Abandoned puppy was found alone at the airport with a message from his owner that she had no choice but to leave him…

Chewy is a three-month-old Chihuahua found by a security guard at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas. I was left in one of the airport toilets.

Apparently Chewy’s owner is on the run to escape an abusive relationship. Unfortunately, its owner couldn’t get it on her flight, so she decided to leave Chewy a letter, hoping someone with a good heart would find it.

The letter read: “Me! I’m Chewy! My employer is in bad condition and can’t let me on a flight. She doesn’t want to leave me with all her heart, but she has no choice. my ex-boyfriend hit my dog while we were fighting and he has a big lump on his head maybe i need a vet i love chewy so much take care of it.”

Chewy needed immediate medical attention for a head injury. To help him, airport staff reached out to Connor and Millie’s Dog Rescue, a local nonprofit foster center.

Fortunately, the rescue center brought Chewy in and he was taken to the emergency veterinary clinic. Connor and Millie’s Dog Rescue, or CΜDR, help and care for elderly and special needs dogs while they search for dog homes.

Chewy soon made a full recovery, and his story touched the hearts of so many friends that it didn’t take long for the shelter to find him a permanent home.

Today, Gilliam wonders how many other owners and pets are currently victims of domestic violence and trapped in abusive relationships. Now, to help those experiencing abuse, she is sharing Chewy’s story to show that victims can find safe haven in CΜDR.
