Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond Roasts Herself for ‘Clumsy’ Food Videos

Ree Drummond is always real.

The A pioneer The 55-year-old star gave her 4.3 million Instagram followers a behind-the-scenes look at how she shoots food videos for social media — and the results weren’t all smooth sailing.

“I’ve been really clumsy with food videos this week,” the cookbook author wrote on her Instagram Story Monday night alongside a cookie clip.

In the video, the Food Network star zooms in on the frozen treat and tries to break it in half with his hand. As she does so, she pokes her thumb through the frosting, creating a less glamorous shot than she’d hoped.

The mother of five continued to do so, reposting the video, but in slow motion and zoomed in. “Whoa, Ree. So incredibly delicious!” she joked in another clip. The mockery did not stop there, so in the third, last, clip she zoomed in even more and slowed down the video even more.

“I’ll tell you what,” she wrote. “I am an artist. An expert in my field.”

Drummond was showing off new desserts from her restaurant The Pioneer Woman Mercantile in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. She even sneaked a peek at her bachelorette party with sister Betsy Smith and friend Cyndi Kane, known to fans as Hyacinth.

“You might laugh at the random tidbits of conversation. I believe we covered 9,437 topics, more or less,” she captioned the video. “Oh, the food was superb.”

Drummond keeps things lighthearted and honest with his fans. In the past, she posted a selfie joking about “dog drool” on her coat. Recently, she has maintained her transparency in talking about her weight loss.

The celebrity chef has been keeping her followers updated on her fitness journey, which she began in January 2021. Last week, she set the record straight in a blog post about whether she’s used weight loss drugs like Ozempic or Wegovy.

In an update posted last Tuesday, she wrote, “I have not taken Ozempic, Wegovy, or similar medications.”

“I support anyone who has success using the above remedies. I know they have been an absolute godsend for so many people; I have friends who have experienced amazing results,” Drummond wrote, noting that she didn’t know about drugs when she started losing weight.

“Today, even though I’ve gained a few pounds up and down, I still haven’t chosen that option,” she said of the popular weight-loss injections. “But you will never hear from me a condemnation of the people who chose that course!”

Back in October, Drummond said Today that “she was lying [her health] from different directions.” She cut out alcohol, started eating more protein and vegetables, and introduced daily exercise into her routine, such as walking her dogs and using home gym equipment.
