The Spring Into Spring event in Pokémon GO will allow players to obtain a Flower-Crowned Togekiss, along with a few other costumed Pokémon. The event starts on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, and ends on Monday, April 18, 2022. During the event, players will need to obtain either a Flower-Crowned Togepi or a Flower-Crowned Togetic in order to get the new version of Togekiss. Since a Flower-Crowned Togekiss is only obtainable through evolution, players will also need to collect enough Togepi candy in Pokémon GO.
Togekiss is a Fairy- and Flying-type Pokémon and its stats are boosted by cloudy and windy weather. The max CP for Togekiss is over 3500, which means this Pokémon can be used in Master League battles in Pokémon GO. However, because of the Fairy- and Flying-type combination, Togekiss is weak against five other types, so its usefulness in battle will depend on the opposing team. The best moveset for Togekiss is Charm and Dazzling Gleam. Moves can be changed using Fast and Charged TMs.
Flower-Crowned Togekiss can only be obtained through evolution during the event. There are a few ways to obtain Flower-Crowned Togepi or Togetic to evolve into Togekiss. Players will either need to encounter a wild Flower-Crowned Togetic or hatch a Flower-Crowned Togepi from an egg in Pokémon GO. Togepi is in the second tier rarity for 2 km eggs, but the eggs will hatch in half the distance throughout the event. Togetic can be found in the wild but has a lower chance of appearing than the other event Pokémon.
How to Evolve Flower-Crowned Togetic in Pokémon GO
To hatch Togepi, players will need to obtain a 2 km egg by spinning PokéStops, then place the egg in an incubator and walk the required distance. If players are having trouble obtaining Flower-Crowned Togepi, they can try to find Togetic in the wild. Using Incense to attract more Pokémon can make it easier to find a Flower-Crowned Togetic. Once an encounter begins, a Razz Berry or Golden Razz Berry can be used to increase the chance of catching the Flower-Crowned Togetic.
Alternatively, players can use a Pinap or Silver Pinap Berry in Pokémon GO to increase the number of candies received upon capture. The candy for hatching eggs during the event is also doubled. To evolve Flower-Crowned Togetic into Flower-Crowned Togekiss, players will need 100 Togepi candies and a Sinnoh Stone. The candies can be obtained by catching, hatching, or transferring any Pokémon in the Togepi evolution line. Players can also use rare candies to get enough Togepi candies.
Sinnoh Stones are evolution items that can be rewarded for completing Research Tasks. Once players have all the necessary items, Flower-Crowned Togetic can be evolved into Flower-Crowned Togekiss. Throughout the event, there’s also a chance to find a Shiny version of the Flower-Crowned Pokémon, so it’s possible to get a Shiny Flower-Crowned Togekiss if players are lucky. Flower-Crowned Togekiss is just one of several costumed Pokémon to catch or evolve during the Spring Into Spring event in Pokémon GO.
