At 16.26 Liam was photographed by another guest lying on the couch in the lobby on his laptop.

Two minutes later, he was caught by an elevator in the lobby of the CasaSur Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Concerned hotel staff then called an ambulance at 5:01 p.m. asking for the police to be dispatched.

The front desk manager said they needed “urgent assistance” to help with a guest who was “behaving erratically.”

He added: “It’s destroying the whole room. Please send someone.”

It comes as…

At 5:04 p.m., police officers were dispatched to the scene, and a minute later at 5:05 p.m., a patrol vehicle arrived at the hotel.

But they were faced with a gruesome scene when they discovered that Liam had fallen from his balcony into the hotel’s inner courtyard.

At 5:07 p.m., the police reported that a person had fallen from the third floor and urgently requested an ambulance.

Paramedics arrived at the scene at 5.11pm local time (9.11pm UK time) and Liam was tragically pronounced dead.

It is not clear what exact time father-of-one Liam fell.

Witnesses have since claimed that Liam was seen arguing with a mystery woman just three hotels away before his death.

Michael Fleischmann, who was also staying at the hotel, claims the star was “very upset” as he argued about money in front of other guests.

Another guest said Liam had displayed “disturbing” behavior shortly before he died.

Investigators are now trying to piece together what happened to Liam before his fatal fall.

Officers have spoken to at least three hotel staff and two women who saw Liam on the day of his death.

Police said they found his room in “total disarray” with various broken items and medication scattered about.

They said the circumstances surrounding Liam’s death were suspicious and may have involved drugs.

But they insisted there were no signs of third-party involvement.

Buenos Aires police said they found packages of prescription drugs, energy supplements and other over-the-counter drugs scattered among his belongings.

Argentina’s public prosecutor said there also appeared to be alcohol and narcotics in the room.

An autopsy revealed internal bleeding and 25 traumatic injuries to the skull, limbs and abdomen, which were sufficient to cause death.

The lack of defensive injuries on Payne’s hands suggests he may have fallen unconscious, the public prosecutor said.

The results of the toxicology tests are pending and it could be weeks before they become public.
