Pooja Dadwal made her acting debut in the Bollywood film Veergati (1995) as ‘Pooja’ alongside Salman Khan and Atul Agnihotri.
Her acting career slowly deteriorated due to casting in movies. She has acted in films such as “Inteqam” (2001), “Dabdaba” (2002), “Jeene Nahin Doongi” (2002), “Sindoor Ki Saugandh” (2002) and “Hindustan” (2004). All were box office disasters. She made her acting debut in the television series “Aashiqui”. She was last seen in Zee TV’s serial “Gharana”.
After completing the show ‘Gharana’, Pooja decided to quit acting to focus on her family. Pooja Dadwal is coming back with the short film Shukrana Guru Nanak Dev Ji Ka (2020).
The film is directed by Punjabi film director Surinder Singh. She will also star in Surinder’s next film Beautiful Wife.

- Salman Khan became the talk of the town in 2018 after reports emerged that her charity, Being Human, was providing financial support for her fight against tuberculosis.
- After retiring from showbiz, she moved to the United States and worked at a gas station. She then returned to India and started working as an assistant manager at a casino in Goa.
- She was working in Goa when she discovered she had tuberculosis. Seeing her health deteriorating, her family left her. She called Rajendra Singh, one of her closest friends in the film industry. Rajendra decided to help her and was admitted to a hospital in Sewri, Mumbai in 2018.
- She also posted a video on social media in which she sought financial and medical help from Salman Khan.
- She became ill and lost her faith until Salman Khan and his charity Be Human came to her rescue. After discharge, she went to Goa for rehabilitation.
- In Goa, she started earning a living through tutoring. During this time, she decided to resume her acting career and came to Mumbai where she started serving lunch to earn her daily bread.
- After hearing her story, director Surinder Singh contacted Pooja and invited him to star in his short film Shukrana Guru Nanak Dev Ji Ka (2020).
- Pooja thanked Salman Khan for helping her during her critical condition. Talking about Salman, she said,

- She is the brand ambassador of the book Safalta Bachchon Ka Khel by Vikas Jolly. This book is adapted from the true stories of 15 children.
