Method-1 Reset Amazon Password Using Your Mobile Number or Email Address
To reset your Amazon account password:
- Go to amazon.com
- Click the ‘Sign Up’ button in the top right corner.
- Click ‘Need help?’
- Then click on ‘Forgot your password?’
- Then enter your mobile phone number or email associated with your Amazon account and click ‘Continue’.
- Enter the OTP you received in your email or mobile phone number and click ‘Continue’. If you do not receive the OTP, click ‘Resend OTP’ to request it again.
- Then you also need to approve the password change request from your phone, check if there is a notification on your phone, and click the link you received.
- Tap ‘Approve’ to request a password change on your phone.
- You will then be able to create a new password for your Amazon account;

Method 2. Reset Amazon Password Without Using Mobile Number or Email Address
To reset your Amazon account password:
- Go to amazon.com
- Click the ‘Sign Up’ button in the top right corner.
- Click ‘Need help?’
- Then click on ‘Forgot your password?’
- You will then be asked to enter your mobile phone number or email address associated with your Amazon account, but if you do not have access to any information, simply click on the ‘Customer Service’ link under the ‘Continue’ option. ‘ to Get help regaining access to your account.
- On the next page, select the ‘My password doesn’t work’ problem from the drop down menu and you will get information. At the bottom of the page you will also get the contact numbers to connect with the Amazon customer support team, which you can use depending on the country you are from:
- USA and Canada – 1-800-388-5512
- International- 1-206-577-1364
- After connecting with the Amazon customer service team using the numbers, you need to explain to them the problem you are facing and answer the questions they ask. Be careful not to provide false information, as they may also reject your password change request if you cannot verify yourself or answer the questions they ask.
- After verifying all the information, you will be given a temporary password that you can use to log into your Amazon account. It is recommended to change your password again to keep your account safe.
