Post Malone Teases Unreleased Collaboration with Morgan Wallen: ‘Let’s Go with the Real Mix This Time’

Post Malone seems to be entering a new era.

On Wednesday, the “Sunflower” artist shared a teaser of an unreleased collaboration with Morgan Wallen on Instagram.

In the 30-second clip, Malone can be seen smoking a cigarette, taking sips of beer and singing along to the song, wearing a green baseball cap with the words “Dallas” emblazoned on it, a brushed leather jacket and jeans.

“Going with the real mix this time @morganwallen 😂,” the singer/rapper captioned the post.

“It takes two to break a heart in two,” Wallen appears to sing before Malone interjects with a soulful line: “Baby, you blame me, and baby, I’ll blame you.”

Both artists joined forces for the anthemic chorus: “I had help, it’s not like I can make a mess like this by myself / Don’t act like you won’t help me get that bottle off the shelf / If you couldn’t tell they say teamwork makes the dream come true / hell, I had help.”

In the comments, Malone’s label, Republic Records said: “We are so ready!!! [crying laughing emoji].”

Lately, the “Circles” singer seems to be taking fans into his country era. In February, he released another tease of a country song, this time featuring Luke Combs, who he also appeared to be hanging out with this week.

Earlier this month, Malone performed a cover of Toby Keith’s “As Good as I Once Was” during his performance at the American Rodeo in Dallas and poured beer from a red Solo mug in honor of the country star, who died at age 62 in February.

In a June 2022 interview with SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern ShowMalone admitted that he had toyed with the idea of recording a country album.

“To be honest, there’s nothing stopping me from picking up a camera or sitting in my studio in Utah and just making a country album [to put] on YouTube,” he said at the time. “I’m allowed to do that, I’m a human being.”
