Prabhas was born on 23 October 1979 in Madras, Tamil Nadu (44 years; age as of 2023). His family moved to Hyderabad as his father worked in the Telugu film industry. Although he was the son of a film producer, he had no intention of becoming an actor. He always wanted to be a businessman. But he could not resist his own glamorous world for long, and soon he entered the film industry as an actor.
