Simran Singh was born on Thursday, August 10, 2000 (20 years old in 2020) in Patiala, Punjab. His star sign is Leo. Simran started playing cricket while in school. He used to practice with his cousin and fellow cricketer Anmolpreet Singh at a club in Patiala. They often skipped classes to practice. In the same month, he was bought by Kings XI Punjab for Rs 4.8 crore to play in the 2019 Indian Premier League. In February 2019, he made his Twenty20 debut for Punjab at the 2018-2019 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

- Simran played as a batsman and wicketkeeper in the team he played in. He was inspired by Adam Gilchrist and decided to play as a wicketkeeper.
