Pradeep Rathod is chairman and joint managing director of Cello World, which specializes in kitchenware and other household products. He joined the company when he was 18 years old. The company was founded in 1962 in Mumbai by her father Ghisulal Rathod. Pradeep Rathod is often called the King of Casserole by the media because the cello world is famous for his casseroles. Initially, the company focused on the production of PVC footwear and bracelets, and in the late 1980s began diversifying into casseroles. The casserole was inspired by Ghisulal Rathod’s trip to the United States, where he noticed people using small, round plastic containers to preserve the temperature of perishable items. After returning home, Jisural introduced casseroles to the Indian market. Apart from this, the company’s product portfolio spans three main categories: consumer homewares, writing instruments and stationery, and molded furniture and related products. After becoming a director of Cello Infrastructure in 2006, he held directorships in two companies in 2008: Cello Capital and Cello Pens And Stationery. Other companies in which he holds directorships include R & T Houseware, Unomax Pens And Stationery, Unomax Sales And Marketing and Deepgaurav Multitrade. Cello World was listed for the first time on November 6, 2023, with a market capitalization of over 168 billion rupees ($2.2 billion).
