Doshi served in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) when Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. In 2014, after Modi became the 14th Prime Minister of India, he was sent to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in New Delhi. Doshi was appointed OSD (Research and Strategy) on June 14, 2023, after being promoted and made Joint Secretary, PMO. Doshi is considered one of the brains behind the Indian government’s policy to ban the sale and use of plastic bags in India.
