Prem Dhillon was born as Premjeet Singh Dhillon (26 years old in 2020) on Wednesday, January 4, 1995, in Amritsar, Punjab. He grew up in Daulo Nangal town in Amritsar district, Punjab. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) from Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab.

Prem Dhillon started his music journey in 2018 with the song “Chan Milondi”, which he released on his eponymous YouTube channel. In the same year, he was the voiceover singer for the song “Patt Tenu”, which was featured in the hit Punjabi film Mr & Mrs 420 Returns (2018). After graduation, he moved to Canada. He came into the limelight with his self-penned song “Bootcut”. The song was released on the eponymous record label of famous Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. The songs have been viewed over 40 million times on YouTube.
He shot to fame in 2020 with the song “Old Skool”, which he collaborated with Sidhu Moosewala and Indian rapper Naseeb. Written by Prem Dhillon himself, the song peaked at number 16 on the Apple Music India Daily chart and has been viewed over 200 million times on YouTube.
Later, in the same year, his songs “Jatt Hunde Aa”, “Badmashi” and “Liv In” became popular. “Liv In” ranked 30th on the BBC Official Asian Music Chart. His other notable works include the songs “Majha Block” (2020), “Lost Love” (2021) and “Just A Dream” (2021).

- In May 2020, Punjabi singer Rami Randhawa accused Prem Dhillon and Sidhu Moosewala of plagiarizing his song Badmashi and ordered them to delete it from their accounts as soon as possible. On the other hand, Punjabi singer Sucha Rangeela claimed that the song originally belonged to him and called on Prem to delete the song from his account.
- On February 15, 2022, a video went viral on the internet showing Prem Dhillon being attacked by an anonymous man during a live performance in Barachal, Punjab. Later, the man was identified as Gur Chahal, a member of the Biba Boys band. Apparently, Punjabi singers Prem Dhillon, Sippy Gill and Sultan were invited to a kabaddi event held in Barachal. Although the attacker was caught by the bodyguards on the stage, the reason behind the attack was not revealed.

- He revealed in an interview that it was the desire to be in front of the camera that prompted him to become a singer.
- In the interview, he also revealed that he had never taken professional music lessons. He said that he learnt singing from his friend Harsimran Singh Aujla Aka Baba.
