Prince Harry mocks John Travolta.
While giving a speech at the 21st annual Living Legends of Aviation Awards in Beverly Hills on Friday night, the Duke of Sussex, 39, ignored some of Travolta’s opening remarks at the event.
According to Hello! Magazinethe Saturday night fever the actor, 69, who hosted the event as an “official ambassador of aviation”, referred to the famous moment when he danced with Prince Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, at the White House in 1985 during his speech.
And in a clip from the event posted on social media by a fan, Prince Harry joked that Travolta was “dining” for the story.

The video began with Prince Harry — whose wife Meghan Markle did not attend the event — taking the stage and Travolta putting the honor around his neck, to cheers from the audience. “This is nice,” the Duke of Sussex began, as the audience laughed. “Thank you, Captain John,” he said, looking to the left to where the actor was seemingly standing out of frame.
“Don’t run away,” Prince Harry teased at the time, before adding: “I was a year old when you danced with my mum.”
The Duke of Sussex then added some tongue-in-cheek remarks, jokingly noting to the crowd that Travolta had told “everyone here” and would continue to “dine out on that.”

“But look at us now, it’s great! Well, if we’re not going to dance together, we’re going to fly together,” he told the actor.
Harry then addressed the crowd and expressed his “sincere gratitude to the Living Legends of Aviation”.
The Living Legends of Aviation Awards are organized by the Kiddie Hawk Air Academy, a non-profit organization that works to foster children’s interest in aviation through education and honors “those who have made significant contributions to aviation/aviation.”
Lauren Sánchez received the “Elling Halvorson Vertical Flight Hall of Fame Award”, and among the others inducted alongside Prince Harry were Steve Hinton, the American aviator who held the world speed record from 1979 to 1989, Navy pilot Fred George and president and CEO of CAE (formerly Canadian Aviation Electronics) Marc Parent.
For the event, Prince Harry – who served as a helicopter pilot for decades in the British Army, flying training missions in the US, UK and Australia, along with combat missions in Afghanistan – wore a classic black tuxedo.

A closer look at his attire for the event came from a photo of him posing with Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe, who later posted a smiling selfie of the pair on Instagram.
Living Legends of Aviation praised the Duke of Sussex for creating the Invictus Games. Launched in 2014, the Paralympic-style sports competition is aimed at wounded military personnel and veterans.
