She also revealed that she will be joining her family as they gather for Trooping the Color tomorrow.

Kate will ride in the carriage with Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, nine, and six-year-old Prince Louis – meaning she’ll be able to wave to the crowds gathered at The Mall.

It comes as…

She will also watch the parade before appearing with the King, William and other royals on the Buckingham Palace balcony.

The Princess of Wales said: “I have been overwhelmed by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the past few months.

“It really made a world of difference to William and I and helped us both through some of the hardest times.

“I’m doing well, but as anyone who goes through chemotherapy knows, there are good days and bad days.

“On those bad days, you feel weak, tired and you have to let your body rest.

“But on good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling good.”

Kate also said her treatment is “ongoing and will continue for a few more months” as she revealed she is “not out of the woods yet”.

But she said it was a “joy” for her to continue dealing with school life and spend time “doing things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to work a little from home.”

Announcing her public return, Kate added: “I’m looking forward to attending the King’s Birthday Parade with my family this weekend and hopefully joining in a few public engagements over the summer, but also knowing I’m not out of the woods yet.

“I’m learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. To take each day as it comes, listen to my body and allow myself this much-needed healing time.

“Thank you so much for your understanding and to all of you who have so bravely shared your stories with me.”

Her bravery was praised by Prince William and King Charles, who released their own statements.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said it was “wonderful wonderful news” that Princess Kate would be attending the Trooping of the Colour.

Speaking in Italy, he said her statement was “brave, honest and I’m sure it will bring a huge amount of comfort” to many others who are “struggling” with a similar illness.

Hopefully, Kate’s return to the public will put an end to the cruel speculation

The Princess of Wales will return to the public eye for the King’s Trooping the Color birthday celebrations this weekend – as she continues her cancer treatment.

The Princess will ride in a carriage with Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards Parade.

There he will watch Trooping the Color before returning to the palace by carriage and appearing with the royal family on the balcony.

In a personally written statement released today, describing his cancer treatment, he admits that he is “going well” but explains that there are “good days and bad days”.

She wrote that her treatment will be “ongoing and will last a few more months” and that she is “not out of the woods yet” and “taking each day as it comes.”

And that she has been “overwhelmed” by the “kind messages of support” since she announced her cancer diagnosis.

While this is a dramatic development that comes six months since we last saw her with the royal family on Christmas Day, it comes as a shock – it is understood this is not a return to a full schedule of public engagements.

Although the princess is expected to attend events during the summer.

But she has been keeping appointments and is expected to appear at carefully selected events this summer, on the advice of her medical team.

We all remember that the Princess of Wales went to hospital in January and later revealed in an emotional video address that she had cancer and asked for privacy while undergoing treatment.

She was subjected to mean comments and rumors from the darker corners of the internet even as The Sun uncovered a video of her smiling and relaxing at Windsor Farm Shop with Prince William.

Hopefully her appearance in Trooping will put an end to the dire speculation.

Palace insiders say the lies and speculation about her treatment and condition are unhelpful and put unnecessary pressure on the princess and her family.

A spokesman for William said he was “pleased” that Kate had started to return to work and projects that were “important” to her.

The statement added: “He will continue to focus his time on supporting his wife and children while continuing to perform his public duties.”

While a spokesman for the King said: “His Majesty is delighted that the Princess can attend tomorrow’s events and is very much looking forward to all the elements of the day.”

The mum-of-three has not been seen with the royal family since Christmas last year at Sandringham.

In January, she went into hospital for abdominal surgery and spent 13 nights at a London clinic before continuing her recovery at home with her family.

Just a few days later, she posted a video in which she revealed that “post-surgery examinations showed the presence of cancer” and that she had begun preventive cancer treatment.
