After obtaining a PhD in Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy, Pritam Munde decided to follow in her father’s footsteps and join politics. She won the 2014 by-election and became the 16th Lok Sabha MP. After her victory, she was appointed as a member of the Other Backward Class Welfare Board from 2014 to 2019. She served as a member of the Standing Committee on Energy (2015-2019) and the Standing Committee on Health and Family Welfare (2014-2015). In 2019, Pritam Munde was re-elected for a second term in the 17th Lok Sabha elections. Subsequently, she was appointed as a member of the Other Backward Class Welfare Board, a member of the Standing Committee on Health and Family Welfare, and a member of the Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Railways.
