Padmini Priyadarshini Gattamaneni was born on Tuesday, October 7, 1980 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu (42 years; as of 2022). She studied at Holy Angels Anglo-Indian High School in Chennai. Soon after completing her education, she enrolled in Ethiraj College for Women in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

- Priyadarshini recalled in an interview that her younger brother Mahesh Babu often annoyed her during her childhood. she says,
Nani (Mahesh Babu) used to get me into trouble when we were in school. He often emptied the ink from my pen without my knowledge. Also, when I tried to write something after arriving at school, my pen didn’t work. Even today these things make me smile.
- In November 2021, Priyadarshini filed a fraud case against Shilpa Chowdhary, who entered the South Indian entertainment industry as a producer. Priyadarshini claimed in her police complaint that she was defrauded of Rs 390 crore by Shilpa. According to sources, many Tollywood celebrities have been cheated on by Shilpa. Shilpa was arrested by Narsinghi police on November 27, 2021. After Shilpa’s arrest, police identified bank accounts operated by her and her husband Srinivas Prasad. ACP Raghunandan Rao in an interview spoke about Shilpa Chowdhary’s fraud case and said,
All accounts are located in Hyderabad. We have written to various banks to freeze them. “
