Priyanka Gandhi or Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is an Indian politician. She is a member of the Indian National Congress (INC). She was not very politically active until January 2019, when she was appointed general secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) in charge of eastern Uttar Pradesh.

Priyanka Gandhi was born on January 12, 1972 in New Delhi, India, into the Nehru-Gandhi family (52 years old as of 2024). She completed her primary education at the Modern School and the Convent of Jesus and Mary, New Delhi. For higher education, she studied at Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University and completed her graduation in Psychology. In 2010, she completed an MA in Buddhist Studies.

She is the granddaughter of former Indian Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi and Feroze Gandhi.
She is the great-granddaughter of India’s first Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru.
Sanjay Gandhi is her uncle, who died in a plane crash in 1980, and Maneka Gandhi is her aunt, a politician with the right-wing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) who served as the federal cabinet minister for women and child development Minister in the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Varun Gandhi, her cousin, is a politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party and MP from Sultanpur constituency.
She married businessman Robert Vadra on February 18, 1997.
They have two children; son Rehan (born in 2000) and daughter Miraya (born in 2002).

Although she visited her mother’s and brother’s constituencies; Rabarelli and Amici were occasionally involved in politics but did not remain active. However, in Amici and La Barelli she was popular and was repeatedly asked to enter politics.
In 2004, she worked as a campaign manager for Mothers in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. In the 2007 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, she helped the Congress party win 10 seats in the Amethi-Raebareli region. On January 23, 2019, she was appointed as the General Secretary of the Congress Party in charge of eastern Uttar Pradesh.
