- When Purnendu Bhattacharya was about 4-5 years old, his father used to rehearse theatrical performances at his house and Purnendu used to watch all the artists and surprisingly learned all their dialogues. In this way, his interest in acting grew.
- Purnendu didn’t want to rely on his father’s money to pursue theater and at the age of 18, he started tutoring young children. His income at that time was 50 rupees. After saving money for a period of time, he started acting in theater.
