dispute
As the news of Pushkar Singh Dhami’s appointment as the tenth Chief Minister of Uttarakhand hit the news headlines, a tweet posted by Dhami on August 14, 2015, has resurfaced. The tweet was accompanied by a map of India and pictures of neighboring countries, all painted in saffron. There was also a picture of Mother India in the middle of the picture with the words “Akhand Bharat” written on it and the caption “Akhand Bharat – the wish of every Prime Minister of a country”. After the controversy surrounding the tweet, some people tried to defend Dhami by supporting the tweet and its message, while on the other hand, some people started criticizing the tweet and Dhami’s ideology. Jawhar Sircar, a former Indian Administrative Service officer, posted the tweet on his Twitter account opposing the appointment of Dhami as the Chief Minister. He also added that the BJP should appoint Pushkar as the External Affairs Minister so that he can drag the country into World War III with his ideology.
Shouldn’t the BJP have appointed this guy as India’s External Affairs Minister instead of the Chief Minister of a small state like Uttarakhand? Then we can all go into World War III! pic.twitter.com/7wkaDq5Y7u
