As King Charles steps back from public royal duties due to cancer treatment, Queen Camilla has a busy dating schedule.

King Charles, 75, and Queen Camilla, 76, traveled from their Sandringham residence back to London on Tuesday. The king received cancer treatment in the city and held meetings with palace staff, while the queen hosted a special event at Clarence House, the couple’s long-time home in the capital.

Queen Camilla has been made an honorary livery of the Society of Fanciers. During the ceremony, the Master Fanmaker robed her and presented her with a fan designed by Stewart Parvin MVO, which was commissioned in 2020 to commemorate the impact of COVID-19 on so many lives.

She also met with representatives of the Fan Museum, of which she became a patron in 2008, and the Court of Fan Makers.

She teamed up with another royal at the event: Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester, who was appointed livery for the same company in 2005.

King Charles speaks for the first time since his cancer diagnosis

On Wednesday, King Charles returned to Sandringham alone. Since announcing his cancer diagnosis, he has spent most of his time at the royal residence in Norfolk, where members of the royal family traditionally gather for Christmas, and has been seen at St Mary Magdalene Church in recent weeks.

Queen Camilla was in London to visit the Kindred Studios Shepherds Bush pop-up centre, an art studio and creative space that encourages arts, crafts and community cohesion.
