Rachel Bloom has a mini-me on her hands.
While talking to PEOPLE about her off-Broadway play Death, let me do my actThe 36-year-old actress also spoke about the upbringing of her 3-year-old daughter, which she says is up to her.
“Oh, she’s hilarious. She makes up little parody songs,” Bloom says, nodding to her own history of creating such tunes for projects over the years, including her The CW series Crazy ex-girlfriend and various albums of musical comedies.
Asked specifically if she’s ever played a song from her award-winning show for her daughter — who she shares with Dan Gregor — Bloom says, “My husband does, and it made me honestly, at some point, start playing some kind of kids or pure re-arranging many of my songs.”
“The songs are very catchy, but they’re really dirty and they’re in her head right now. She’s just listening to music,” adds the mother-of-one. “But my husband puts on some of the songs, she likes to hear mom sing, and I’m like, ‘Oh, I’ve got to record these songs again.’ ”

Currently, Bloom tells PEOPLE that her little one is “very girly and princessy,” though she’s not entirely sure where she got those traits from.
“It’s very interesting how I don’t wear a lot of dresses, I don’t wear a lot of skirts, and she, like the other girls in her preschool class, immediately want to dress up as princesses and want to wear dresses and dresses,” she says. “It’s nothing to I learned it myself, I think that only that gender identity embedded in it is very interesting.”
And while the proud mom notes that her daughter “watched Disney princess movies — totally,” she adds, “But she watched other things, too.”
“She’s watching Daniel Tiger’s neighborhoodshe is looking paw patrol, and he’s not necessarily trying to dress like Daniel Tiger,” Bloom continues. “It’s very interesting.” Tickets to visit Bloom’s Death, let me do my actwhich runs through January 6 at the Orpheum Theater in New York, can be purchased here.
