Another reason Khoo gave was that she wanted to keep the happy news to herself until she was ready to share it with the rest of the community. She also stated that it was nice to just enjoy the moment instead of sharing it on social media every day.
Khoo only revealed her pregnancy after she gave birth. The chef’s second pregnancy was an even bigger mystery, because she didn’t reveal anything about it. Her September 2020 interview with The Huffington Post confirmed that her second child was eighteen months old at the time, making her second child’s birthday in early 2019.

Khoo has always been interested in cooking since childhood. Her mother is her food hero, she says, because she cooks delicious meals every day on a tight budget. She later moved to Paris to pursue her culinary dream and study at Le Cordon Bleu.
Khoo later opened her own restaurant and began her career as a TV chef in 2012 with The Little Paris Kitchen: Cooking with Rachel Khoo. Since then, she has appeared on dozens of cookery shows, and will join the judging panel of The Great British Menu in 2021.
