Rachel Leviss Says Tom Sandoval Was ‘Acting’ in Their Relationship and ‘Fooled’ Her the First Night They Hooked Up

Rachel “Raquel” Leviss opens up about falling in love with Tom Sandoval under what she now believes were false pretenses during filming Vanderpump Rules.

The 29-year-old admitted she felt “betrayed” by Sandoval, 40, claiming he was “acting” the night the pair first got together and that their previous encounter had been staged, unbeknownst to her, for the show.

Speaking during the latest episode of his podcast, Rachel goes rogue, Leviss claimed that producers forced her to drop in on Sandoval’s night out with the boys in Los Angeles — which led to their first sexual encounter — after returning from a disastrous acting trip to Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe. Although she thought she was surprising him, she said Sandoval already knew she was going to join him.

“Charlie [Burnett] and I enter, and who is the brightest-eyed, bushy-tailed to see me? Who is so thrilled that I just walked in? [None] except for Tom Sandoval,” Leviss said. “And that’s so bad, because I heard someone say, ‘Oh yeah, Tom definitely knew. The producers definitely told Tom that Charli and Raquel were about to come in.’ ”

“It was like he was ready for that scene,” she revealed. “And I’m like, ‘Oh my god! He cheated on me!’ Like, I thought he was actually genuinely happy to see me. I said, ‘Oh my God, this is what it’s like to be really appreciated,’ and I felt like you were welcome in the room and I felt like somebody wanted you there — like, a stark contrast.”

“But later, to find out that he was acting and it wasn’t completely honest? Ugh,” added the former reality star.

Leviss shared that she told People that night that she wanted to “go wherever Tom Sandoval goes” as she felt, “This person actually cares about me and he, like, wants to hear my side of the story.”

The podcaster also accused producers of making her fight with Lala Kent in Lake Tahoe before meeting Sandoval and said when she explained what happened, “the whole world melted away.”

“[It was] like, the only person I could see was him and no one else,” Leviss recalled. “He actually listened to me and understood the situations I was in.” [where] the producers intervened and told me to say certain things that I wouldn’t have said otherwise. And he understood it, as if he had already been there.”

Leviss feels “betrayed” by Sandoval over their romance.

Leviss and Sandoval went on to have a months-long affair that ended his nine-year relationship with actress Ariana Madix. The affair was exposed after filming on the reality show’s 10th season wrapped, and Bravo cameras returned to capture the aftermath.

Leviss later went to a mental health treatment center and decided not to go back there Vanderpump Rules for Season 11, which premieres Tuesday on Bravo.

Reflecting on their romance on her podcast, Leviss said she wonders if Sandoval made up the whole affair.

“That thought crossed my mind,” she continued. “He’s been known to produce himself, and all he has is this show… When we were having conversations like, ‘How is this going to play out?’ He said, ‘We can be together next season.’ ”

“I think he had his own motivation behind it that really escalated the situation. And if it wasn’t a reality show and we weren’t all filming, I wonder if it would be like this,” she added.
