Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is a Pakistani singer. He is the son of Farooq Fateh Ali Khan and the nephew of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. He is mainly known for his Qawwali and Sufi singing.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was born on December 9, 1973 in Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan (age 50 in 2023). His zodiac sign is Sagittarius. He comes from a 600-year-old family of classical singers. Rahat grew up in a family with a musical background and became interested in music at an early age. At the age of 7, he started studying music with his uncle “Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan” and often accompanied him on his music tours. At the age of 9, Ali performed in public for the first time on the anniversary of the death of his grandfather, Fateh Ali Khan. In 1985, he became an important member of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s qawwali group and toured the UK with his uncle.

Rahat started his singing career in 1997 with the song “Kisi Roz Milo Hamein Shaam Dhaley” for the Pakistani film “Mard Jeenay Nahi Detay”.
