Rahul Pandiya came to media attention in 2023 when his ex-girlfriend and TV actor Aishwarya Sharma attended the event along with husband Neil Bhatt Reality show Bigg Boss Season 17. In an interview with a prominent media portal, Rahul revealed that their long-term relationship has lasted for over seven years. He shared some insights into their relationship as well as some photos. Rahul and Aishwarya first met during the Dance India Dance auditions in 2011, when Aishwarya was a choreographer. Rahul Pandya said,
Aishwarya and I were in the same college, pursuing different courses in Ujjain. There was an intercollegiate competition that I used to choreograph and coach gymnastics for. In fact, I even auditioned for Dance India Dance and cracked it. “We met during this competition, and our love story began in 2011 and lasted until 2017.”

But before that, to put some distance between us, her father sent her to live with her sister who lived in Pune. She started studying banking in Pune. A year before we got married, she called me and asked me what I was doing and how I was doing. We are very willful and I understand that she needs time. I was shocked to hear she had moved on. I had come out of a very low phase where I felt betrayed and even suicidal at times. I don’t wish anything bad to happen to her, that’s the kind of lover I am. “
