Raj Babbar was born on Monday, June 23, 1952, in Tundla, Uttar Pradesh (age 71 in 2023). His zodiac sign is Cancer. He initially studied at Mufid E Aam Inter College, Agra and then at Faiz-E-Aam Inter College, Agra. Later, he graduated from Agra College, Uttar Pradesh. He graduated from the National School of Drama, Delhi in 1975 and trained at the School of Method Acting, National School of Drama, Delhi.

Relationships, wives and children

While studying at the National School of Drama (NSD) in Delhi, Raj Babbar met Nadira Babbar, the daughter of Sajjad Zaheer, the famous Indian writer and founder of the Progressive Writers Association (Nadira Babbar). At that time, she worked as a director and screenwriter in many plays. They met while working on a play written by Nadira. Soon they became friends and fell in love with each other. Raj proposed to Nadira, who was four years older than him, and the two got married on November 21, 1975 (Friday). On Friday, July 20, 1979, the couple gave birth to a daughter, Juhi Babbar. On Sunday, May 24, 1981, the couple welcomed their second child, Arya Babbar.
