Svetha Yallapragada Rao, professionally known as Raja Kumari, was born on January 11, 1986 in Claremont, California, United States (age 38; as of 2024). She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies. While in college, Raja Kumari delved into South Indian culture. To keep her rooted in Indian culture and religion, her parents decided to train her in classical dance forms. Kumari is an Indian classical dancer who began dancing at the age of 7; she performed at a concert where Pandit Ravi Shankar was the chief guest. When she was in fifth grade, she discovered hip-hop through the Fugees’ album The Score. By the age of 14, she had become a mature freestyle presenter.
During her career, Kumari contributed to various humanitarian endeavors, including the creation of a hospital in Bangalore, a school for physically disabled children, and the creation of a meditation hall in southern India. As a result, she was recognized as a donor by the Indian Philosophical and Cultural Foundation (Indian Foundation). She was also awarded the Kohinoor Award by the Governor of Tamil Nadu for excellence in classical arts.
