In February 2022, Rajendra Singh Yadav introduced a bill to prevent cheating, use of unfair means and leakage of question papers. The bill states that arrested criminals may face a jail term of up to 10 years and a fine of up to Rs 1 lakh. 10 million. The bill was introduced after the Rajasthan Eligibility Test for Teachers (REET) question paper was leaked, leading to the cancellation of the exam.

On September 7, 2022, Rajendra Singh Yadav was attacked at his residence and factory in Rajasthan, Gurugram (Haryana) and Uttarakhand The raids were carried out by the Income Tax (IT) department for irregular provision of meals to students of government schools. In an interview, Rajendra Singh denied the allegations and spoke about the IT attack, saying:
Today at 8 am, officials from the IT department came to my residence. They also raided my offices in Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Gurgaon, where my children and family were doing business. The search operation is ongoing and all will be clear soon. “
On December 26, 2023, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided around 10 locations of Rajendra Singh and his associates in connection with the alleged lunch scam.
