Rakesh Pathak was born in 1965 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India (57 years old; as of 2022). He received his primary and secondary education from Government Gorki High School, Gwalior. Later, he studied under the Maharani Laxmi Bai government. Pursuing Masters in Military Science from the Institute of Excellence, Gwalior. Thereafter, he also obtained a master’s degree in history and studied for a doctorate in philosophy at the same institution. He also studied and graduated from Government MJS PG College, Bhind.

Rakesh Pathak started his career from January 14 to December 1, 1988 as the Chief Correspondent of Lokgatha News Publishing House. During this period, he was also working as a journalist at Saandhya Samachar. Later, in 1989, he joined Acharan Gwalior. In 1993, he was appointed Editor of Navprabhat, Gwalior. After working there for nearly seven years, he left the organization and joined NaiDunia, a Hindi newspaper and publication of Jagran Prakashan Ltd. Later in 2012, he assumed the editorship of Pradesh Today. Since 2018, he serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Hindi magazine Karmaveer. Work inspired by Madhavrao Sapre, the father of journalism.
