Chiefs wide receivers show some love to their teammate Travis Kelce!
Ahead of the Kansas City Football Team’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers in Inglewood, Calif., on Sunday, Sept. 29, Rashee Rice enlisted teammates JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman Jr. to wear some custom shirts during pregame warmups.
In photos shared by CBS Sports, the three can be seen sporting black t-shirts printed with images of Travis, 34. The t-shirts read “Travis Kelce” on the front and “Dreamathon” on the back for the custom clothing company . Hardman previously wore a similar-looking jersey when the Chiefs played the Chargers in 2022.
CBS Sports’ Tracy Wolfson reported in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that Rice, 24, got shirts “for all the WRs to honor their leader and the guy who mentored them all.”

The wide receivers’ endorsement of Travis comes amid criticism of the tight end’s on-field performance since the 2024-25 NFL season. which started on September 5. The negative comments intensified after he recorded just 30 receiving yards in the Chiefs’ win over the Atlanta Falcons last week.
This isn’t the first time a Chiefs team has broken out custom shirts to support a teammate. The players previously wore Dreamathon T-shirts in support of runner Isiah Pacheco after he was injured earlier this month, according to NBC Sports.
This week, Travis addressed the criticism surrounding his slow start to the season during his episode New heights podcast with brother and Philadelphia Eagles alumnus Jason Kelce.
“Pat said that. Coach Reed said that. You know, we find ways to win games and not play our best football,” Travis said. “Anybody can fix that. I think everyone saw my crash in Q4, that crucial third, I was just trying to do too much before I dropped the ball.”

“I think with the way defenses are playing us right now, I’m not getting a lot of opportunities to play downfield, but I’m not using that as an excuse to move forward, I’m still trying to, you know, make sure that I can help the team in that regard, knowing that I’ve been that weapon for us in the past,” Travis added.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes also weighed in on the situation, telling the media after the team’s win against the Falcons on Sept. 22, “We’re responding to a lot of players for Travis, which is two or three [defenders] they go to him.”
“That’s the great thing about him that he wants to impact the game, but he wants to win at the end of the day,” Mahomes, 29, said of his teammate.
I’m going to do my best to keep feeding him the ball whenever he’s there, whenever he’s open. I think the more Rashee [Rice] game, the more we are able to run the football, the more we can win [Xavier] Worth being a part of, I think it’s going to open up Travis more,” Mahomes continued. “People are really stressing that they’re taking him away and it’s opening up other guys.”
