Rasheed Naz (age 73) was born on Thursday, September 9, 1948 in Peshawar, North West Frontier Province (now Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), Pakistan (now 73 years old) as Abdul Abdul Rasheed Naz. He studied till tenth grade at a local school in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

However, he rose to fame after appearing in the TV series “Namoos”. In 1993, he appeared in the Urdu TV series “Dasht”, which was broadcast on NTM, Pakistan’s first private channel. In 1998, he appeared in the TV series “Ghulam Gardish” aired on PTV.

The actor made his Bollywood debut with the film Baby (2015) starring Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kher. He plays terrorist mastermind Maulana Mohammad Abdul Rehman in the film. In 2017, he appeared in the Pashto film “Gul E Jana”. The actor has acted in the Hindi film “72 Hoorain”. Later released in English and 10 other Indian languages ​​including Assamese, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Kannada, Kashmiri, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Thai Mir and Telugu. The film premiered at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in 2019 and won the ICFT UNESCO Gandhi Medal. However, the film was released in theaters in 2023 after his death.

Rashid Naz passed away in Islamabad, Pakistan on January 17, 2022, at the age of 73. He had long faced health challenges. After his death, his body was brought to Peshawar where his funeral was held.
