Profession
The journey of a middle-class town boy, from playing football in the streets of Jodhpur to representing India at the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in South Africa, has been one of many struggles and failures along the way. The journey was by no means an easy one. In 2013, he started formal cricket training at the ‘Spartan Cricket Academy’ with the help of his hometown friends.
He faced rejections many times during his formative cricket career. He was rejected from both the Under-16 and Under-19 cricket trials for Rajasthan. But the brave youngster did not let the frustration of these rejections dampen his determination to achieve his goals. Eventually, at the age of 18, Ravi got his first break when he was selected for the Rajasthan U-19 team in the Vinu Mankad Trophy in October 2018. On February 21, 2019, he made his T20 debut for Rajasthan in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. From then on, his career began to flourish. In September 2019, he represented Rajasthan in Grade A cricket in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The very next month, in October 2019, he was selected for the India A team for the 2019-20 Deodhar Trophy. Later, in December 2019, he was bought by Kings XI Punjab in the auction of the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL).

He also became the leading wicket-taker in the Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2020; taking 17 wickets in 6 matches. He will surely be one of the bowlers to watch out for in the upcoming IPL 2020.
On 16 February 2022, he made his T20I debut against West Indies at Eden Gardens. On 6 October 2022, he made his ODI debut against South Africa at the Bharat Ratnashri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium.
dispute
On February 9, 2020, after India lost to Bangladesh in the final of the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, some players from both the teams clashed at the ground. Following the violent tussle, the International Cricket Council punished five players, including Ravi Bishnoi and Akash Singh of the Indian team, for violating the ICC code of conduct regarding “bringing disgrace to the game”. In addition, Ravi was also found to have violated another ICC rule regarding “using words, actions or gestures which are derogatory or which may provoke a violent reaction from the batsman after being dismissed”. Ravi Bishnoi was docked seven points by the ICC.
