Ravi Bishnoi News

Ravi Bishnoi, a leg-spinner for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), disclosed that he missed the Class XIIth boards exam in order to play net bowler for the Rajasthan Royals during the 2018 Indian Premier League (IPl), and that he has not slandered anyone since the 2020 U-19 World Cup final.

Because I was a net bowler for the Rajasthan Royals, I missed the Class XIIth Boards. The coach informed me that I would need to be present despite my father’s harsh request for me to return home. After that, I made the decision to forgo the boards that year and finish them the next year,” Bishnoi revealed on the LSG podcast.

The 22-year-old also discussed how challenging it was for his father, a government teacher by profession when he chose to prioritise playing cricket over academics. “When I was 10, I joined a cricket academy, and when I was 15, I made the decision to stop going to school. Cricket was not giving me any time.

“It was challenging to persuade the parents. Then, because of my talent, my instructors advised my father to let me continue playing cricket,” he stated.

Bishnoi, who had the most wickets during the 2020 U-19 World Cup, also explained what had caused the altercation with the Bangladesh bowlers after the championship match. Bangladesh won the game by three wickets and won the U-19 World Cup for the first time.

He claimed that during the U-19 WC final, “they were sledging our batters a lot, and they did cross the line, and when our turn came, we returned the favour.”

“They crossed the line after the victory. They began making fun of us directly, and in the heat of the moment, I too uttered a couple things I regret saying.

After that exam, he claimed, “I have never slammed anyone.” The post-match incidents cost Ravi Bishnoi and Akash Singh, who served as his flatmate during the competition, five demerit points. After dismissing Avishek Das, Bishnoi was given two more demerit points for using “language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter.”

Cooper continued, “I had a desire to reflect that on the cover of Playboy magazine just as we’ve done on Playboy.com for many months now.”

The May/June 2018 edition will also feature an interview with Cecile Richards, the president of Planned Parenthood, as well as the introduction of two Playmates, Shauna Sexton and Cassandra Dawn.
