AM Ravi Krishna is an Indian actor who works primarily in the Tamil and Telugu film industries. He rose to fame with his role as ‘Kadir’ in the Tamil film 7G Rainbow Colony. He is the son of film producer AM Rathnam.

Ravi Krishna was born on Wednesday, March 2, 1983, in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh (age 36; as of 2019). His zodiac sign is Pisces. He completed his studies in Chennai and then went to London to pursue a degree in multimedia. Thereafter, he obtained a Diploma in Interactive Communication from Penta Media. Ravi then began his multimedia career at Sam Media, working in non-linear film editing. When Ravi went to India for Easter, he was offered the lead role in the Tamil film 7G Rainbow Colony. He trained for a month at King’s College London before starting work on the film.

Profession
Ravi Krishna started his acting career in 2004 with the Tamil film 7G Rainbow Colony. The film was a huge hit and Ravi won the Filmfare Award for “Best Male Debut” (South) for his performance. He later appeared in the Telugu version of “7G Brindavan Colony”. The films were shot simultaneously and the setting was changed to Hyderabad instead of the latter’s Chennai.
Thereafter, he acted in films like “Sukran”, “Ponniyin Selvan” and “Kedi” but failed to recreate the magic. All of his films received poor reviews and did not do well at the box office. In a career spanning more than a decade, Ravi has starred in only 9 films so far, the last one being 2011’s “Aaranya Kaandam”.
In 2018, she participated in the dance reality show “Dance Jodi Dance” with Chitra Rai.
