Ready to Ring in 2025? Here Are All the New Year's Eve Specials, Including Where to Watch Them

The countdown to 2025 has begun, and there’s no shortage of ways to celebrate!

As 2024 draws to a close, it’s time to plan who you’ll ring in the new year with — and luckily, there are plenty of celebrities, TV hosts and special offers to choose from.

ABC and CNN will return to their longtime broadcast celebrations, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest and New Year’s Eve live with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohenrespectively. Both specials will be celebrated live from Times Square in New York and will feature a star-studded line-up of appearances and performances to kick off 2025.

In a teaser for the CNN event, Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen peeked into their thoughts on 2024, with the reporter saying, “Andy, it’s been one wild year.”

In addition, CBS will rebroadcast its annual New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash, hosted by country star Keith Urban — and will celebrate the clock striking midnight in both Eastern and Central time.

Meanwhile, NBC will kick off the evening with Let’s toast 2024! with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager, to follow The Day Drinking with Seth Meyers New Year’s Special, which will last until midnight.

Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve returns for its 54th year with hours of musical performances and a look at celebrations happening around the world.

Seacrest will once again host the celebration, marking his 20th anniversary as host of the iconic special. For the second year in a row, he will be joined live from Times Square by singer Rita Ora, according to the show’s announcement.

The co-hosts will be accompanied by a series of star performers who will perform this year’s biggest hits and timeless classics.

Where to watch Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve

Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve airs Tuesday, December 31 at 8:00 PM ET on ABC.

For the second year, Dick Clark Productions has partnered with iHeartMedia, and the event will be available for live streaming on the iHeartRadio app as well as 150 iHeartRadio stations.

The broadcast will also air the next day on Hulu.

Who performs at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve?

A star-studded list of musicians to join Seacrest for a night of celebration. They include Natasha Bedingfield, TLC, Kesha, HARDY, DJ Cassidy, Ernest, T-Pain, Tinashe, Cody Johnson, Thomas Rhett, Teddy Swims and Lenny Kravitz.

As 2025 approaches, Carrie Underwood will headline the evening with a live performance of some of her greatest hits. After the clock strikes midnight, the Jonas Brothers are set to take over the Times Square stage with a career-spanning medley to celebrate their 20th anniversary as a group.

They will be joined in Manhattan by CMA New Artist of the Year Megan Moroney and “Murder on the Dancefloor” singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor who will also perform live.

Alanis Morissette will take the stage multiple times throughout the night, including a performance of her 1995 hit “You Oughta Know” alongside Reneé Rapp. Meanwhile, Blake Shelton will join the celebration from Las Vegas, where he’ll perform some of his biggest hits along with his latest single, “Texas.”

Making their own New Year’s Rockin’ Eve debut, Dasha will sing “Austin (Boots Stop Workin’),” while Laufey covers her hit “From The Start.”

In Puerto Rico, the evening will once again be hosted by Dayanara Torres with a performance by Luis Fonsi.

New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash

CBS welcomes 2025 with a comeback New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Basha five-hour extravaganza full of unforgettable performances by some of country music’s biggest stars.

The special will be hosted by Grammy winner Urban Party tonight‘s Rachel Smith, according to a CBS press release.

The celebration will span multiple time zones, starting with a countdown to midnight ET and continuing with Nashville’s famous Music Note Drop. Fireworks will end the event, ushering in the new year in Central Time.

Those in downtown Nashville can experience New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash free on the Bicentennial Park Main Stage.

If you prefer to watch from the comfort of your home, the event airs live on Tuesday, December 31 at 8:00 PM ET on CBS. It will also be available on Paramount+ for streaming.

There’s a packed lineup of country stars set to celebrate the end of 2024 with performances during New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash.

The event will be headlined by Urban, Kane Brown and Jelly Roll, with additional musical performances from Shaboozey, Luke Bryan, Post Malone, Lainey Wilson, Chris Stapleton and Luke Combs among others.

Cooper and Cohen return for their eighth consecutive year as CNN co-hosts New Year’s Eve live with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen. They’ll be live from Times Square to ring in the new year with comedy, music and star-studded guests.

Just two weeks before the countdown, Cohen told Parade that the event’s “directive” was to “have fun.”

“That’s what I’m focused on,” he said. “My focus is creation [Anderson] relax and create lots of laughs and unforgettable moments.”

Cohen added, “It’s such an unusual experience. It’s five hours of standing in Times Square in elementary time, just shooting s— and having fun. It’s a very unique broadcast and it’s really fun.”

Several other CNN affiliates will be covering the festivities live across North America, while Richard Quest will be reporting from the crowds in Times Square and inside Madame Tussauds in New York.

CNN’s Sara Sidner, Harry Enten and Cari Champion will take over the festivities at 12:30 a.m. ET to ring in the new year for those watching in Central Time, reporting live from Austin, Texas. There will be additional celebrations around the world, with CNN correspondents covering festivities in more than a dozen cities around the world, including Tokyo, Sydney and London.

Kotb and Hager return as hosts of the two-hour primetime special Let’s toast 2024! beginning at 9:00 PM ET on NBC.

The talk show hosts will close out 2024 by looking back at the year’s biggest moments, with several appearances from an all-star line-up including Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg and George Lopez, per Deadline.

Seth Meyers will usher in the new year on NBC by looking back on his many daytime drinking segments.

Airing at 11:30pm ET and running for just over an hour, the program will feature a compilation of the show’s most memorable (and hyped) moments, including get-togethers with Rihanna, Duo Lipa, Kelly Clarkson and Kevin Hart.
