THE SUDDEN split of TV duo Eamonn Holmes and Isabel Webster shocked fans this week after trouble was secretly brewing behind the scenes.
The Sun can reveal that Isabel’s departure from GB News was caused by close relationships on the show that soured during her working hours.

Isabel was in a secret row with channel bosses over increasing the number of days on screen from three to five a week.
A TV insider told The Sun: “Isabel wasn’t happy that bosses expected her to work all week while Eamonn remained a Monday to Wednesday presenter.
“It became a point of contention in the negotiations and caused tension behind the scenes.
“Eamonn is clearly the star of the show and loves being in the lead – he’s now looking forward to working with Ellie, a young talent who he can help shape as her career progresses.”

A spokesman for GB News said: “This is completely untrue.”
Eamonn, 60, was blinded by his 42-year-old co-host’s ax when negotiations broke down on Wednesday.
They had just finished their last show of the year and planned to celebrate Christmas with their breakfast crew.
However, after she “refused to bow to the demands”, Isabel was immediately replaced by the rising talent Ellie Costello.
The 31-year-old will work two days more than Isabel – joining Eamonn from Monday to Wednesday, followed by Stephen Dixon on Thursday and Friday.
Eamonn responded to a tweet about Isabel’s sudden departure, saying “Bye my girl x”.
Insiders say it was a “savage” response to Isabel’s sacking days before Christmas – as Eamonn failed to properly honor her on his social media channels.

Another source told us: “Eamonn wasn’t consulted on the decision, in fact he was completely blindsided – and his new co-host was chosen for him before he even knew Isabel was leaving.
“He and Isabel have had their moments as a TV partnership. Eamonn is a legend in the industry and the king of breakfast TV. Always a bigger name doing fewer days on screen.
“As Isabel became more and more stubborn in her role as Eamonn’s co-host, there were a few arguments and clashes over their differing opinions, but overall they worked well together and are good friends.
“Although, silence speaks volumes and it was quite obvious to some that Eamonn or Isabel didn’t make an explosive post about the end of their TV partnership.”
