Reba McEntire Jokes She’s ‘So Mad’ at Taylor Swift Over Travis Kelce Dating Rumors: ‘I Had a Crush on Him’

Reba McEntire’s “crush” on Travis Kelce has come to an end.

In an interview with TODAY.com to promote her new lifestyle book It’s not that fancyThe Queen of Country, 68, revealed that she was a big fan of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, before rumors of a romance between him and Taylor Swift began.

“Oh my God, I’m so mad at her because I was in love with him,” McEntire joked on her way out. “Now I can’t fall in love anymore because he’s dating her.”

The “I’m a Survivor” singer claims she was “so devastated” by Kelce’s relationship with Swift, 33, that she said it felt like her “boyfriend cheated on her.”

However, McEntire said her real-life boyfriend, Rex Linn, isn’t too affected by her “crush” on the NFL star, joking: “Isn’t that sad?”

Namely, she added that Kelce is often seen playing together, and she is not afraid to point out what she thinks about him.

“We were watching him play because I love the Chiefs and I love Patrick, and I’d be like, ‘Oh, he’s so cute. Oh, he’s so cute,’ McEntire explained.

Since romance rumors began circulating about Kelce and the “Lavender Haze” singer, McEntire told the tabloid that her actor boyfriend, 66, even started teasing her about it.

“Rex said, ‘Your boyfriend has another girlfriend.’ I said, ‘Rub it in,'” she said.

Vote coach first met Linn in 1991 while they were both working on a Kenny Rogers film The Gambler Returns: Luck of the drawbut they did not reconnect until 2020 after the death of McEntire’s mother.

“He is a very supportive man, I love him with all my heart,” McEntire told PEOPLE.

Since Linn lived in Los Angeles and McEntire was in Oklahoma during the pandemic, it took time for the couple to bond.

“We didn’t see each other again [that year] until June 16. So it was phones, Zooms, texting, so we really got to know each other before any physical contact,” she said.
