Recover Facebook account using trusted contacts
Here’s how to change your Facebook password with the help of your friends:
- Go to www.facebook.com and click on ‘Forgot your password?’
- Enter your email address or phone number to search for the Facebook account you want to recover; click ‘Search’.
- You will see a few options to reset your password, ie using your phone number or email; click ‘Don’t have access to this anymore?’
- On the next page, simply enter a new email address or phone number that you can access to receive account recovery messages, press ‘Continue’ to continue.
- On the next page, you will be given the option to ask your trusted contacts for help; click ‘Discover my trusted contacts’
- Enter the name of one of your trusted contacts to continue, click ‘Confirm’.
- All your trusted contacts will be revealed, you just need to contact them personally and tell them to go to the link www.facebook.com/recover and ask them to provide you with the code they received; you need to enter all the codes in the given space and then click ‘Continue’.
