Reese Witherspoon and Daughter Ava Have a Chic ‘Mother Daughter Date Night’ at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards

Reese Witherspoon brought a very stylish person to the 2024 Critics Choice Awards — her daughter Ava Phillippe.

The 47-year-old star, who is nominated for best actress for her role as news anchor Bradley Jackson on Apple TV+ morning show, she wore a strapless black Celine dress with a large bow and a thigh-high slit that showed off her strappy black Christian Louboutin pumps. She complemented herself with Bulgari jewels.

Her daughter, Ava, 24, wore a black Monique Lhuillier minidress (covered in pearls!) with Christian Louboutin heels and a Celine bag.

Witherspoon shared their look on Instagram, writing, “Mother daughter date night.”

At the 2024 Golden Globes on January 7, the actress looked elegant as ever in a black velvet Monique Lhuillier gown with a pink satin bodice, paired with Jimmy Choo shoes and Tiffany & Co jewelry.

But her plus one on the red carpet was what had everyone talking — 20-year-old son Deacon Phillippe! (The actress is the mother of sons Deacon and Tennessee, as well as Ava.)

While walking the red carpet, Deacon opened up Diversity about coming to the event for the first time.

“This is my first Golden Globes and really my first awards show,” he said in an interview before the awards.

He also revealed what his mom told him he was doing on the show. “There are two main things: chewing gum, hand sanitizer and being nice to everyone,” Deacon explained.

When asked if he now has a curfew for his big night, Deacon said he was just following his mom’s lead. “I’m following her tonight,” he said. “She’s a party animal and I’m just trying to keep up.”
