Reese Witherspoon is celebrating her mom’s birthday!
On Sunday, August 18, the actress, 48, posted a sweet birthday tribute to her mom Betty to celebrate her special day on Instagram.
“Happy birthday to the most wonderful mom in the world!” Witherspoon wrote in the caption. “You bring so much sunshine into my life. ☀️💫 Thank you for always believing in me and cheering me on. i love you! 💞.”
Along with her message, the actress shared photos of herself and Betty taken at restaurants on two separate occasions.
In the first snap, Witherspoon wore a “It’s My Birthday” headband from her March celebration as she sat next to her mom. The next photo shows the couple with identical smiles as they pose for the camera in a cafe.

Witherspoon re-shared the post on her Instagram Stories, where she added a sparkly purple graphic at the top that read, “Happy Birthday” — plus an animated hat and cake.
Morning show The star’s birthday tribute comes after she paid tribute to Betty in a Mother’s Day post in May.
Sharing more photos of her mother with her children and some family members at the time, Witherspoon wrote: “Every day with you is a gift @grandma_busybetty 💗☀️🤗Happy Mother’s Day Mom! 💐.”

In August 2023, the actress praised Betty in another birthday post, writing: “Happy birthday to the best mom I could ever dream of. Thank you for always believing in my dreams and cheering me on… and making me laugh every day [sic]. I love you, mom! 💗🌸🤗.”
