A BUSY shopping street in central London has been evacuated due to a “bomb threat” and shoppers have been urged to avoid the area.
Footage has emerged showing a large police cordon and emergency services presence in Regent Street on Wednesday afternoon.

A number of facilities are understood to have been evacuated while police investigate the “suspicious vehicle”.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “Roads are closed near Regent Street and New Burlington Street while officers investigate a suspicious vehicle.
“Officers conducted several controlled explosions as a precaution.”
Video seen by The Sun shows terrified shoppers fleeing the area.
Regent Street, located next to the iconic Oxford Street, is one of London’s main shopping centers and is home to a number of high-end shops.
It includes the world famous toy store Hamleys, Burbury and Barbour.
