Sports and entertaining worlds remember and celebrate the lives of Kobe and Gianne Bryant on the fifth anniversary of their tragic death.
Five years after Kobe and 13-year-old Gianna died in a collision of a helicopter on January 26, 2020 in California, a loved basketball star and his daughter continue to inspire fans around the world.
She was survived by her wife Vanessa and daughter Natalia, Bianka and Capri, Kobe’s contribution to basketball is immense. In addition to the five NBA championships he won for Los Angeles Lakers, the greatest athletes of all sports still live with their thinking “Mamba mentality”.
Kobe’s basketball career started at Lower Merion High School. He decided to enter the NBA directly from the 12th grade and was the 13th overall choice in the NBA in 1996, by Charlotte Hornets, who traded the Los Angeles Lakers rights in the previous agreement.

In Los Angeles he would join with the center of Shaquille O’Neal. Although Kobe and O’Neal would certainly have success (together they won four Lakers championships), their relationship would soon turn into rivalry.
At only 18, 2 months and 11 days, he became the youngest person ever played in the NBA game when he played in 1996. And until 1998 he was the youngest starter ever in the NBA All-Star game.
18-put All-Star, Kobe helped run Lakers up to five NBA titles: 2000, 2001, 2002, 2009 and 2010.

In 1999, 21-year-old Bryant met 17-year-old Vanessa Laine. When he was an initial player at Los Angeles Lakers – while Vanessa was a high school student from southern California.
“It was love at first sight,” Vanessa said in the post on Instagram in 2020.
“For me, it was very different to have someone I was so close to, because I was so used to growing up isolated,” Kobe said about the early days of their relationship in the Showtime 2015 2015 documentary Muse of Kobe Bryant.
The two got engaged six months later and got married on April 18, 2001 in the Point in California.

In 2003, they welcomed their first child, the daughter Natalia, followed by Gianna in 2006.
Vanessa and Kobe welcomed their third child – daughter of Bianka Bella – December 5, 2016 and their youngest, Capri Kobe, were born on June 20, 2019.
“She was our best baby,” he joked Extra About their youngest in September 2019. “He sleeps like six hours. She is absolute dear.”

From a young age, Gianna – who was loved with love as Gigi – wanted to follow her father’s steps in basketball. Kobe even coached his daughter’s team at his Mamba sports academy and supported her dreams of joining the WNBA.

Gianna and her father continued to share his love for the game, and his mini-me was quickly on his way to cut his own path in basketball.
At the time of the fatal collision, Gianna and Kobe traveled to the basketball game of young people with their parents and players from the team of girls Mamba Sports Academy, where Gianna wore a number 2 jersey.

In the days that led to the fifth anniversary of the accident, people announced that Vanessa would publish Mamba & mambbacita foreverCatalog of over 100 frescoes and stories that respect Kobe and Giannin a lasting impact.
Various memorials have emerged all over the world, including the vigil of candles, sculptures and public frescoes, recognizing Kobe and Gianna’s contributions to the world of basketball.
Mamba & mambbacita forever – which will be published on August 19, Mark Kobe Bryant Day a few days later – “gathers paintings and stories” of public art installations that have honored Byrants, according to a press release divided with people.
