“Wakama played basketball professionally at UK while representing the senior Nigerian national team during his four years as a letterwinner at Western Carolina University.
NBBF stated that Wakama graduated from Western Carolina with a BA in Therapeutic Recreation in 2014 and an MBA from Manhattan in 2019.
She perfected her coaching techniques while helping develop young players for the basketball powerhouse Stony Brooks University in the United States.
