Porsha Williams shows she appreciates her fans amid her divorce from husband Simon Guobadia.
Three days after the news of the couple’s separation became public, The The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, 42, shared a message to her fans on Instagram, writing: “Thank you for your prayers and support. -PW.”
The 42-year-old reality star filed for divorce from Guobadia, 59, on Thursday in Atlanta, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE last week.

The news of their split came after rumors about Guobadia’s citizenship status surfaced online. However, a source previously told PEOPLE that the divorce is “not related to the recent allegations involving Simon’s past.”
The cause of their split is an “ongoing matter,” the insider added.
Five days before filing, Williams gave no indication that a split was on the horizon as he shared snaps on Instagram from their recent holiday together in Dubai.
Shot on a jet ski styled to look like a luxury sports car, the pair appeared to be enjoying themselves as they shared a kiss at one point and were all smiles the whole time. “My ride or die 🤌🏾🔥,” Williams wrote, adding, “(And yes, he thought he went to die today 😂) #BeHisPeace ❤️🌹 @iamsimonguobadia”
Guobadia also posted the same video on Instagram: “Living our lives, unapologetically. #livingourbestlife #blacklove #bestfriendsforever.”

The Bravo star and the entrepreneur tied the knot in November 2022 in a Nigerian traditional indigenous ceremony and customs followed by an American ceremony in Atlanta. The couple announced their engagement in May 2021 after a month of dating.
“Yes, we are madly in love,” Williams wrote alongside a selfie with Guobadia. “I know it’s fast, but every day we live life to the fullest. Every morning and every night I choose happiness.”

Earlier this month, the reality star-turned-entrepreneur — who is mom to 4-year-old daughter Pilar, from a previous relationship — announced her intention to return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta for the upcoming 16th season after a two-year absence from the Bravo series. She also signed a comprehensive deal with NBCUniversal for “scripted project opportunities across the company’s broadcast and streaming properties.”
“I am incredibly grateful for the vision and faith that NBCUniversal has placed in me to be a bigger part of their family,” she said in a statement. “I am looking forward to my return The Real Housewives of Atlantaand I’m showing the world my new world!”
