RHOBH: Kyle and Mauricio Are Out of ‘Sync’ as a Bombshell Confession to His Mother Sends Him Running

Misunderstandings between Kyle Richards and Maurici Umansky led to conflict during a difficult period in their marriage.

In Wednesday’s episode The Real Housewives of Beverly HillsKyle, 54, admitted she felt separated from her husband Maurici, 53, as they prepared to host a dinner for their daughter Portia’s 15th birthday.

“We’ve always been on the same page and aligned, and right now it just doesn’t seem like we’re aligned,” Halloween is ending the actress told the cameras, before revealing how Mauricio’s work has affected their quality time.

“It seems to me that lately [been] obsessed with the Agency and its work. He runs this big company and opens all over the world. I think he poured his heart and soul into the Agency,” she added. “So it’s another woman.”

The family began to arrive and take their seats at the table. As dinner progressed, Kyle’s mother-in-law, Estella, cornered her to ask her about the recent headlines surrounding the status of their marriage.

“Everything is fine with you and Mauricio, right?” she asked, worried. “Every time I open Google, there’s something about you guys breaking up, divorcing, whatever. It got to the point where I called Mauricio, texted him and said, ‘Is everything okay?'”

Kyle explained that the rumors about their marriage started when she was spotted without her wedding ring.

“I am very surprised that my mother-in-law is asking me this right now, tonight,” she said in the confessional. “Yes, Mo and I had our problems, but the picture of me without the ring has nothing to do with it. I’m still wearing my wedding ring. So why do people say that because of the one time I lifted weights before that?”

Still reeling from Estella’s confrontation, Kyle ran into Mauricio in the kitchen and admitted that she “didn’t feel at ease at all.” The real estate mogul agreed, then pointed to a pile of mail on the counter and claimed the sight of it was “embarrassing” with the company.

The RHOBH the prop did not take kindly to the observation and left the room, joining the rest of the family at the table.

Before Portia opened her birthday presents, Kyle and Mauricio’s other daughter, Alexia, showed off her sister Farrah’s tattoo. Farrah held up her wrist and claimed the ink was temporary, and Kyle announced to the table, “She’s testing it, unlike me.”

Mauricio’s eyes popped out of his head at the revelation and he quietly whispered to Kyle that he had kept their tattoos a secret from his parents.

After dinner, Kyle pulled her in-laws aside and said she had several tattoos. To her surprise, Estella didn’t mind her ink and asked her if her tattoos were dedicated to Mauritius.

“No,” she replied. “It’s a kickback anyway. I don’t believe that.”

When Estella revealed that she knew about their daughter’s tattoos, Kyle said that Mauricio was also the proud owner of a tattoo. After sensing her mother-in-law’s shocked reaction, Kyle quickly returned, saying, “Maybe there is? I do not know.”

Later, as Mauricio entered the kitchen to help his daughter light the birthday candles, Kyle revealed with a guilty look on her face, “I told your mom you had a tattoo.”

“What’s wrong with you?” he asked with a stern expression as Kyle tried to defend herself and claim that his mother “didn’t care”.

The Buying Beverly Hills star asked why she felt the need to break the news to his parents. “What about that?” he said before storming out of the room.

“Why did I open my mouth?” Kyle asked herself as she spoke to the cameras. “I thought, ‘Oh, okay, it would be funny at this point, wait until I see her reaction.’ But now his reaction? I really wish I hadn’t said anything.”

Feeling the sting of being in the doghouse, Kyle later approached Mauricio at the table, claiming that her confession to his mother was ambiguous. The broker brushed aside her apologies and ended the conversation altogether, saying, “I don’t want to talk about it right now.”

As Kyle walked away from a frustrated Mauricio, she told the cameras: “Oh, this is what people talk about when they’re going through a tough time. Well, here we are.”
