Alexis Bellino and her fiance Andy Bohn have gone their separate ways.
The Real Housewives of Orange County The alum, 46, and Bohn are ending their engagement three years after he proposed in December 2020.
“Drew and I have lovingly decided to separate as a couple,” Bellino says in a statement to PEOPLE. “Despite this, our love for each other remains strong and we both sincerely wish only the best for each other. We understand that it is in our best interest to go our separate ways.”
She continued: “We kindly ask for your thoughts and prayers for both of our families as we work through this breakup, especially with the recent loss of my mother.”
In addition to the statement, the former reality star shared a motivational quote with her followers on Instagram on Tuesday, which read: “I truly believe that every person has to go through something that absolutely destroys them in order to realize who they really are.”

The split, which he was the first to report Page sixit comes a month after the death of Bellino’s mother, Penelope.
“Mom, you are finally free. You can walk again, cook, dance, hold a glass, talk, hug, laugh… you’re out of that horrible body that held you captive for the last three years,” she wrote in a touching tribute on Instagram. “You put up the strongest fight I’ve ever seen.”
“I promise you that I will make sure that the UCLA brain donation program finds out what stole your beautiful life from you at such a young age, and we will help others so that your torture was not in vain,” she continued. “You light up every room, even when you couldn’t speak anymore, the medical staff still said you were their favorite, and that’s because your energy is infectious.”
Bellino also spoke about her grief after her mother’s death, saying, “The hole in my heart is unbearable and it feels like it will never mend. I’m numb and still can’t believe you’re really gone. I don’t know how I’ll ever be myself again and I hope the tears stop.”

“But the last nine days of watching you struggle was almost as excruciating,” she added. “You are forever my favorite person and my best friend. In your words, ‘death is simply another form of living.’ We’ll see each other again, and you better show me the signs on the other side. I love you to the moon and back, mom. 💔🦋🦋 #rip”
Bellino first went public with Bohn in February 2019, sharing a photo of the pair embracing in Los Angeles Rams jerseys before the Super Bowl. “Love is in the air,” the reality star captioned the Instagram post.
She called the film producer “My forever” in another hashtag.

In December 2020, Bellino and Bohn announced their engagement with a photo on Instagram of the two kissing while she wore an engagement ring on her finger.
“One good thing actually came out of 2020,” she captioned the photo at the time. “Yes @acbohnz. I’m totally YOURS. #engaged.”
Bellino finalized her divorce from ex-husband Jim Bellino in 2018. The couple, who were married for 13 years, have three children: son James, 17, and twins Miles and Mackenna, 15.
