RHONJ Star Frank Catania Is Engaged — and His Ex-Wife Dolores Catania ‘Couldn’t Be Happier’

Frank Catania is remarrying — and his ex-wife Dolores Catania rejoiced at the happy news.

On Monday, The Real Housewives of New Jersey star (52) posted a sweet message on Instagram, congratulating her ex-husband on his engagement to girlfriend Brittany Mattessich.

“All you need is love and that wow ring 💍🤩❤️. I couldn’t be happier for these two lovebirds,” Dolores wrote alongside a photo of the couple posing in front of a backdrop covered in red roses with the message, “Will you marry me ?”

“Congratulations on your engagement! @missbrittyann. So nice to officially welcome you to the family 🥰,” she continued. “I wish you a life full of love, health and happiness @frank.catania.sr. Happy woman happy life.”

Mattessich, 33, announced her engagement to Franko on Instagram on Sunday. “We are engaged!!!! 💎🤍”, she wrote in the title of her post. “I’m so excited to start this next chapter with you, along with all the other good things we have…”

She thanked Frank for making her “the happiest girl in the world.”

“I wouldn’t want to live this life with anyone else but @frank.catania.sr,” she added. “I love you so much my fiance 🤍🤍🤍.”

Mattessich shared the same photo as Dolores in her post, as well as another snap of her and Frank kissing as she raised her hand to the camera, showing off her large diamond sprinkle.

She and Frank were friends for more than a decade before their relationship turned romantic last year. They first met when he was her trainer for her fitness competitions.

Dolores’ RHONJ costars filled the comments section of Mattessich’s post with messages congratulating the couple. “Omg Omg!!!! 😍😍😍,” wrote Melissa Gorga, while Jackie Goldschneider cheered, “Omg YAYYY!!! Congrats baby doves!!”

Margaret Josephs commented: “Congratulations on living happily ever after!! I’m so thrilled for you both!! 💍🎉🥂💕💋👧🏼.”

Dolores and Frank were married from 1994 to 1998 and have two children: daughter Gabrielle, 28, and son Frank Jr., 25. Over the years, Frank has made frequent appearances on his ex-wife’s Bravo reality series, as the two remained close since their divorce.

Dolores later responded to her ex-husband’s comment in an interview with E! News, saying he agreed with him. However, she was quick to note that she didn’t expect to be romantically involved again.

“I can say I agree with him,” she told the newspaper. “You know, I don’t think a soulmate has to be an intimate relationship. A soulmate can be a dog, a soulmate can be a child or a best friend, and Frank is definitely my soulmate in the fact that I’ve done that past life stuff and he says we’re and Frank had been connected for a long time, so I could see that.”

Dolores is currently dating businessman Paul “Paulie” Connell. The two met when a mutual friend set them up on a blind date. After keeping their romance under wraps for a few months, they made it official on Instagram on Valentine’s Day 2022.
