Erin Lichy and Rebecca Minkoff’s masterful prank to root out the group’s “pigeon” seems to have paid off.
In the episode of November 19 The Real Housewives of New YorkThe housewives had harsh reactions to Erin and Rebecca’s pregnancy joke during their dodgeball outing. Last week, the duo sparked a rumor which claimed the fashion designer, 42, was pregnant with another child – but didn’t know who the father was, despite being married to her husband Gavin.
“That was a really fucking lie,” admitted Sai de Silva while Jessel Taank added that she was “definitely worried about her.”
While Rebecca and Erin laughed it off as a joke, Sai told the cameras that the stunt seemed a bit “tone deaf”.

“I mean, there are three women who want to be pregnant,” she said as the scene switched to Jessel, Ubah Hassan and Brynn Whitfield. “I think maybe Rebecca and Erin should check their baby privilege at the door.”
Elsewhere in the episode, Ubah, Sai, Brynn and Racquel Chevremont sit down at the Museum of Sex to discuss an incredible prank. As she recounted the sequence of events that led to the discovery, Brynn claimed that Erin played a prank on her.
After Erin told Jessel and Brynn that Rebecca was pregnant, Brynn said that she and Erin went for one-on-one drinks where she was told that the pregnancy was real, but that the mystery surrounding the baby’s parentage was a joke.
“I was like, ‘Okay, I’ll be in it with you,'” she recalled, before Racquel chimed in and shared another piece of the puzzle. During their double date with their partners, the art lover claimed that Erin said she was looking for a “pigeon girl” who had been spreading rumors about their group.

When Racquel asked if Brynn was in on the prank, Erin denied knowing about their plans.
“I was really into it because I knew it was a joke,” Brynn said before explaining to the cameras, “I felt like Rebecca and Erin were playing a fun joke – a weird joke – but a fun one… But then it shows that it it’s not really a joke or a prank, it’s a test.”
Despite all their differences, Ubah took Brynn’s side. She revealed that Brynn, after noticing that Ubah was uncomfortable with the news, took her aside during group play to tell her that the whole thing was a hoax.
“I’m thinking about it, maybe I’m wrong,” Ubah told the group. “I think the reason she told you the joke is because she wants you to do it and then go around to everyone else and say, ‘Look! Look! Who’s the leaky pigeon?’ Because if she hadn’t told you it was a joke, you wouldn’t have said that.”

As soon as the model presented her theory, the gears started turning and the Housewives started adding two and two.
“She wanted me to believe that you were a leaky pigeon, that you were like this horrible person who would come out and tell us all these things,” Racquel said. “She told me you and Jessel bought it—hook, line, and hook.”
Speaking on camera, Racquel shared how she felt cheated by Erin’s antics. She admitted that she felt like Erin “manipulated the situation” and didn’t tell her that Brynn was involved so the Housewives would think Brynn was a gossip.
“I came to the museum questioning Brynn’s character, and now I’m thinking, should I be questioning Erin’s character too? Was I fucked up?” she added.
